After purchasing the Battle Pass, it took another hour before we even reached the first tier. It's something we've experienced ourselves, too. It's incredibly grindy, to the point where dedicated fans believe it will take roughly 200 hours of play to reach the top rank. This extension may not be exciting news to those who rushed to finish the current Battle Pass, but those who have been taking things slowly will be happy to know that they now have more time to experience the game and claim all the rewards.Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's first Battle Pass launched two days ago as part of the big Season One update, but players are quickly discovering a major downside to the new progression model. Without a doubt, we can imagine that some fans were hoping for the developer to announce a Call of Duty Season 7 as a surprise, but extending this sixth season doesn’t seem too bad, as well. We have yet to find out just how connected Warzone and Black Ops Cold War are going to be, but Activision previously confirmed that these two titles will be incredibly tightknit. Since Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is officially available to play, the new content found in this latest title will slowly but eventually head towards the battle royale spin-off. This is because even though Modern Warfare will be receiving new content for players to enjoy, Warzone has a confirmed spot in Call of Duty’s ecosystem, which ensures that it will remain relevant for many years to come. In other news, it looks like Warzone’s future is brighter than that of Modern Warfare. That being said, both titles are still expected to release new content and features even though they won’t be releasing a new Battle Pass. The developers from Infinity Ward previously implied that both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone will no longer be getting a Season 7, and the fact that this last season has been extended seems to agree with that idea.
Without any kind of notice, Season 6 was extended for two weeks and now the Battle Pass will be ending on December 7 instead. Streamer WhosImmortal and other Call of Duty players couldn’t help but notice that the end date of Season 6 that was noted in-game was secretly changed. That being said, it appears that Season 6 will be hanging around longer than initially expected despite it not being a fan favorite.
Speaking of, there were a couple of interesting additions to the game thanks to this season, such as a brand-new killstreak.
When that issue was resolved, however, fans were able to experience much smoother gameplay for the remaining season. Sadly, Season 6 wasn’t as well-received as the developer would have liked, as players of both Warzone and Modern Warfare experienced several crashes when the season went live. However, they were still willing to go through the motions of one last Battle Pass. Being the last season before Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War launches its first one, there’s a lot of pressure on the shoulders of Call of Duty’s current sixth season.įans of the franchise were looking forward to experiencing a brand-new multiplayer mode and campaign. On the other hand, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, which was recently released early this month, is now working on releasing its first season this December. It appears that Activision and Infinity Ward have decided to extend the current Season 6 Battle Pass for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone by two weeks instead of announcing a new one, just as players had hoped.
